Everyone wishes for that perfect test to see if their diet is working, and to compare different variations month to month, year to year and decade to decade. Well nothing bests QUANTIFIABLE fitness, especially progressive weight training. I'm not talking about the namby pamby- no results- beauty bell health spa routines that they advertise on TV but real hardcore strength training- the type that actually builds lean tissue and slows down the typical aging process that most people are constantly battling.
Don't think or a minute that this kind of training is limited to the young or athletic. My mom has been a student of mine for over 20 years and has even been able train in her home gym on her own for the last few years. And hardcore too.

Doctors for more than half a century have all agreed that the best way to gauge health as we advance into middle age and beyond is through fitness measurement. Lean body mass in particular is the number one component they are looking for. It is what we are all looking for. The best way to maintain and even build lean tissue as you age is with PROPER and PROGRESSIVE weight training. Squats, shown above by Eve, Chris' mom, are the number one exercise known. They are used for every age group and for every reason. But do not think that you can do barbell squats right away. You must start slowly and carefully. But the rewards are as great as going raw.
